Freeserve / Wanapoo / Orange email suspended ?

My Freeserve email has been suspended and although I have 'retrieved' it
twice, it will not let me login, the orange.ins file confirms the password
is unchanged.
My first email to Orange resulted in completely irrelevant answer, the
second try elicited this:
"We are aware that some members are experiencing difficulties when
accessing their accounts. we hope to have this issue resolved as soon as
possible."

Anyone else having the same problem ?
Regards,
Martin

I've had an Orange email account for about 6 weeks now. Basically it only
seems to work every other day, and throws up the enter username/password
wobbly in between (as it is doing today). I gather from a previous post here
that this is not totally unusual for Orange.

I have emailed them about it but, unlike you, I haven't received any
response at all!

Thank goodness I have a gmail account and do not have to rely on Orange for
my main email account.

Yours might be, I'm still getting the username/password box every time
Outlook Express tries to synchronise!

At the risk of provoking the wrath of the god of the internet, my freeserve
account which became wanadoo and I guess is now Orange seems to work OK. I
have had the odd time when it has prompted for a password, but, this has
usually been when I have interupted a download. The account seems to be
locked in some way until the connection times out at their end. Can you get
on via the web interface?

Yes, on the few occasions I've tried that, it has been ok.

However, to be honest I don't want the hassle of having to do this every
time and so will probably therefore not use this account (which comes 'free'
with the broadband account, like it or not) for anything other than
receiving communications from Orange.
