Strange question, but....

Would it be possible to have Wanadoo Broadband (for use with a Wi-Fi enabled
PC and laptop) but keep my existing Freeserve Anytime dial-up account on a
different PC?

Anyone know if this can be done?

Dan

do you want the account to have the same "name" / login details - if
so I would say this is unlikely, just as they probably don't let you
log in from 2 PCs at the same time. Different names should not be an
issue.

Yes you will be able to have two accounts without a problem. Saying that you
*may* experience slower speeds on your modem with DSL, its not definate but
its always possible.

One also has to ask the question why you would want to pay the cost of DSL
twice in the same house for a dial up service (DSL can cost £15 a month).
Why not just have one connection and share it, considering your already
going to have to have a wireless router anway, which will no doubt have an
ethernet socket and could no doubt be put near the PC and pluged using a
cable to a normal network card.

If your worried about security then simply use firewalls on each PC, or if
you want the wifi network for two pc's and the otherone just to have
internet then I belive some routers will support VLans.

The BB account with Wanadoo would be separate from the existing Freeserve
Anytime dialup.
I just wanted to be sure that getting BB enabled on the phone line won't
mess up a different computer's dialup.
