FreeParking - Slow mail forwarding

Probably slightly OT. Please let me know of any more suitable places to
raise this.

I have a domain via FreeParking. There has usually been a short delay
with mail forwarding but recently this has extended to 1-3 hours which
is a problem. One mail was returned to sender as Unrouteable address. I
eventually managed to raise a support call and am awaiting a response.

Anyone else got any problems or advice on reliable domain hosting/mail
forwarding companies.

Thanks for any help
Hugh

I've used OneandOne with no problems at all.

No problems with freeparking here. MX records are pointing to my server and
never noticed any delays.

Chalk and cheese - TIM is clearly getting FreeParking to * forward * mail, so
the MX records are pointing to their servers for inbound mail. From your post
you get mail direct from the sender, not hanging about within FreeParking, and
there's no similarity whatsover, except you've registered the domain with FP.

As for reliable hosting / forwarding, I've used ZoneEdit.com, Nameroute, MyQTH
(the latter two have charges associated, the first handles a few domains /some
quantity of data transfer, for free, which includes a 'catch all' mail handler
so could forward <anything> @ domain to one destination mail address. I have
not tried it of late, to know what delays may be present, but will make some
tests over the next week or two). Peter M.

Unsuitable for heavy downloaders, but fine for video/audio streaming.
