You should be able to use it with just a bare driver, which you should be
able to get from Huawei's website (if you need it, and Windows doesn't find
it automatically). The driver will give you a COMn port - set it up like a
dialup modem connection in Windows. You'll have to add a special modem
configuration string with the APN - something like
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","yourapn"
Then just use it like any other dialup connection. Windows will keep track
of the data used per session - it's up to you to add up the traffic over
multiple sessions. You won't get SMS or signal strength this way, but you
can at least connect. And no network bloatware.
