Gordon Brown is my shepherd
I shall not work.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Conservative Party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment.
Yea, though I wait for my dole, I own the bank that refuses me.
Brown hath annointed my income with taxes.
My expenses runneth over my income.
Surely, poverty & hard living will follow me all the days of his term.
Henceforth we live all the days of our lives in a rented home with an
overseas landlord.
I am glad to be British.
I am glad I am free.
But I wish I were a dog
and that Brown was a tree.

But are the jobs created under Noo Labour real?

Stats show 3 out of 4 jobs are paid for directly or indirectly by the
taxpayer!
So only 1 in 4 are private sector real wealth creators, and 1/3rd of all
jobs
are so low paid, they are subsidised by the tax payer with tax credits ;-(

It ain't rocket science to figure that if you carry on policies like that
for any time it'll end in disaster

Which it has

They can be found in places like
http://www.taxpayersalliance.com
and possibly
http://howitends.co.uk/how-many-people-work.php

Maybe i was a little inaccurate with 3 out of 4 jobs, it's probably more
like 2 out of 3, but all set to rise to 3 out of 4

You know you should never answer a question with a question - it's
considered bad manners

Wasn't looking for an exact age - all I was trying to do was see if
you were old enough to actually remember the Thatcher governments.

I'm old enough to remember the Callaghan government when people were
unable to bury their dead etc

Well at least thats progress. Now we can bury the dead and make glossy
pullout magazines to commemorate it over the course of a few weeks.

And pay rises were £1 or 1% whichever was the greater. Although self
financing productivity deals were allowed. I was a staff union rep at a
company and we asked for self finacing productivity deal for office staff.
The company said that it could not be done for non productive staff. as
there was nothing to link our productivity to. We devised one, they did not
understand it and knew that it would not work so they allowed it. We
understood it and knew how to manipulate it and it always paid us near the
maximum of 33%. The shop foor staff were furious as they could not work hard
enough to get anything like that on their piece work rates.
I believe that it was mainly in Liverpool that were unable to bury their
dead perhaps because it was difficult there to tell the dead from the
undead:-)
