Force Win Server to use proxy for all routed connections

Hi all,

I would like to know HOW to force the Windows 2000 server (I guess for 2003
the procedure would be the same) to use the cache proxy for all connections
when configured as a router though "Routing and remote access" mmc without
having to use ISA server.

I have no idea where to start so any idea is welcome.

I doubt that you can do that. I am not aware that RRAS has that ability.
It caches NAT requests, but that is a different kettle of fish. It isn't a
proxy server.

Plus the fact that not all network traffic can be proxy'ed...

Thanks for your replies! Point well put and taken!

What about just Internet communication on port 80 while routing?

Well, what about it? There is nothing in RRAS that relates to proxy
caching. It has always been an add-on sitting on top of RRAS since the first
version of proxy server for NT (which developed into ISA Server). If you
don't want to run ISA you could look at third party proxy server solutions.
