Hi Michael

oh yes indeed! i have also been struggling with this combination of
hardware!
---> a centrino fitted laptop (Intel pro LAN 2100 3b, driver 3/27/2003
version 1.1.6.0) together with a DLINK 614+ (version A, the one with
two antennas. Firmware Version: 2.20 , Tue, 19 Aug 2003).

i made it somewhat more stable due to the following
trial-and-error-steps:
- disabled the ' 4 X ' thing

- max transmissionspeed to 11mbit instead of 22mbit

- short preamble

- WEP encryption to 128bits instead of 256bits

- channel NO LONGER on 11 anymore, Netstumbler showed 11+ instead of
11, so it could be out of reach for the at 802.11b specs operating
Intel card. I don't believe the DLINK is doing that, it is still
running for a small part on a propietry protocol, imho. (i might be
incorrect).

- the centrino-laptop IP addy was set into the DMZ of the router. i
got these logs-entries all the time, and then blocked the Intel card
at that very moment, hence the disconnects.

I've had loads of problems with my Intel Pro LAN 2100 2b. The laptop
manufacturer provides only 1.1.5.0 version of the intel drivers but this
causes problems when the Microsoft patch for WPA is installed. The
good thing with the 1.1.5.0 or 1.1.6.0 drivers was that Netstumbler
would run without any problem.
I managed to find 1.2.1.3 from some other manufactures website, they
worked better but Netstumbler would exit on startup.
All driver versions seemed to give me stability problems.

I gave up and bought a Linksys WPC54G, not had one single problem.
