My Windows 98 machine is unable to share folders as it
should. Normally, one would click:
Start...Settings...Control Panel...Network...File and
Print Sharing...
followed by checking the box entitled "I want to be able
to give others access to my files".
This process should enable me, through "My Computer" or
Windows Explorer to highlight a folder, Click
File...Properties...Sharing...????
The "Sharing" tab does not exist for any of my folders,
even after setting the above Network sharing properties.
This Windows 98 machine can see my Windows XP shared
folders, but my XP machine cannot see any Windows 98
folders (probably because I am not able to set the sharing
property). After considerable research, I can only
conclude that I must have a corrupted file, but I do not
know for sure. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you
