I have just created a folder and shared it, i have created a mapped drive and
have adjusted the sysvol script accordingly. I need users to have read access
to the contents of the shared drive, they must not be allowed to delete the
files but are allowed to save them as a different name. I have achieved most
of this but when the user tries to "Save As" a dialogue box opens for them to
enter the file name, after this they are told that the file already exists,
and offers them the choice to overright the file, in actual fact the file
does not exist. if the user says no to overwriting the file the file is
created anyway along with two .tmp files.
Appreciate any help

Is this Word or something like that? Office creates tmp files which are the
actual ones the user is working with.
This sort of Version Control is quite difficult to do just with permissions.
