Hi to all,
Not sure if I am in the right area but was hoping someone could help. I
have 3 sites setup with vpn access to each site, with the AD DC master as the
vpn server that the remote site connect to.
Each site has an AD Controller, DNS, DHCP, etc...
Site 1: 192.168.0.1/24 - 1MB/1MB DSL Link
Site 2: 192.168.1.1/24 - 800/128 Sat Link
Site 3: 192.168.2.1/24 - 512/128 Sat Link
Now the problem I am having is I have laptop users who travle between the
remote sites but already have My Documents folder redirection configured to
redirect to the main server at Site 1. When the users try to log on at
either of the remote sites it start to process GP's and starts the Log On
Script (which is mapping network drives in Site 1). Also when user try to
access My Documents its takes ages as they are trying to access My Documents
back to the remote site.
The only solution I can offer at the moment is to keep turing network access
on and off, e.g. when composing an email have LAN access off, right the
email, attach a document and send it so it sits in the Outbox. reconnect to
the network and reconnect Outlook and then send the email.
I need to get this sorted ASAP so any help would be great.
Thanks
Dirk
