Any advice on the following?

About six weeks ago myself and A N Other were morally obliged to clean
an elderly lady's house while she was in hospital. She lives in a
three-bedroom house, but due to 'nerves' actually only occupies the
middle downstairs room, kitchen, and bathroom. It was these three
rooms that were the focus of attention.

Working seven days straight, six hours a day plus commuting, these
rooms were cleaned as best we could, and didn't look bad at all. I'll
spare the gruesome detail.

Unfortunately, all this effort resulted in a case of Tennis Elbow,
which I now realise isn't just a funny name.

A few days ago I finally got the bike out, for the first time since
this lady went into hospital, and had a great bimble to the next town,
about 12 miles across country. This was one of those days where
everything went right: roads were fine, traffic light, bike totally on
song...just fine.

I got to my destination, and as soon as I let go the handlebar, my
right arm, the tennis-elbow arm, practically seized up, and one was in
a state of some discomfort. I let the sunshine do its work for a bit,
and later rode home OK, but again with T-E symptoms after.

My question is, how best should one treat a case of tennis elbow? I
like biking, but also like to function at the end of the journey...TIA

Avoid any provocative activity.
Take maximum doses of ibuprofen for 48 hours, if your medical history allows
Consider a tennis elbow splint
See your GP if systems persist.
Consider steroid injection if they persist longish term.

Many thanks for your advice. The best course of action seems to be
rest, with some mild activity. I'm told three months is an average
recovery period, so I'm about half-way there.
