flasing LED's

I'm using a Linksys WPC54G adapter in my laptop and both the "Power" and
"Link" LED's are constantly flashing on & off in unison, the monitoring
software tells me that my signal strength & quality are very good (73%), but
web pages sometimes seem to load slower than I think they should. Am I
having intermittant connection problems? What might I try to solve this?
After first getting my network going, I'm 99% sure that both LED's were on
steadily.
