After trial and error this is what I found works best if
your Basestaion Utility is Not showing ALL PC's in your
Network. I am using the MN-700 WirelessG Basestation
with the wireless MN-510 USB adapter. I'm not sure if
this will work with other Microsoft Basestaions and
adapters but it may if the software for the Basestation
Utility is the same.

1. make sure all of your basestations setting have been
saved to disk. You can do this by logging into the
basestation management tools. (Open the broadband
utility goto tool and it will be in the short list) Once
you've entered your password and the screen loads goto
management in the list to the left it will provide you
with the option to save settings. Once the new screen
appears save your setting to disk.

2. goto the PCs that the utility isn't noticing. Unplug
the adapter and Uninstall the Microsoft Broadband Utility
software using the add/remove programs in your control
panel.

3. Open up your device manager (Control panel/system/
then click the device maganger tab) Look for NETWORK in
the list. Click on the + sign next to it. If your
adapter is listed right click on it and remove or delete
it from your system. If you're operating windowsME you
will also need to go to Control panel/Network/ in the
list of Network devices listed you will see your adapter
highlight it and click to remove it.

4. Shutdown and reboot your system

5. reinstall using the Install and setup product option.
When promted insert your settings disk and your settings
will be restored. When promted about file sharing allow
the system to install file and print sharing software
even if you don't want to allow it. The system will ask
you to reboot, Do So. when it comes up again after
reboot it will ask for Name and Workgroup. Name the
connection whatever you want but make sure that the
Workgroup name matches the name on the basestation.

Once you've finished open up the Broadband Network
Utility and once the untility in finished refreshing you
should now see those on your Network listed to the right
under Network devices on the utility screen.

If you want even more safety in the management tools go
to SECURITY and click on FIREWALL. This is what it will
say " Blocking ICMP commands helps prevent hackers and
others from locating your network. Disable this rule only
when you want parties outside of your local area network,
such as your ISP, to locate your network.

___ Block ICMP Commands "

Put a check in the box to BLOCK ICMP COMMANDS. Click
apply.

If you wan to run Norton Internet Security and the
firewall if provides alog with the intrusion and privacy
detection tools. Follow these instructions in order if
you don't you will no longer see those on your network
listed in the Utility.

1. open the NIS utility. Goto firewall. to the lower
right you'll see "turn ON" and Configure. Click to
configure. Goto the Home Networking tab in the new
window. Click the word TRUSTED in the middle ofthe
screen to insure that you are listing those on your
network in the PCs that should be trusted. Next
click "Wizard" accept your network settings it finds
(make sure that it lists the gateway of the basestation.)
click ok or apply close all windows going back to the NIS
utility now click to "Turn On" the firewall. then click
to tun on Intrusion Detection and then Privacy
Protection. Your Norton firewall will now work with your
Broadband firewall without conflict.

After having my PC hacked into by a neighbor even with
the highest Sercurity available (128BIT Encryption with a
WEP)I needed more protection even though I thought I had
enough. All microsoft all Microsoft could tell me to do
was get a new WEP and set it up on all PCs on the
Network. After presistance they then told me how to have
my network unpublished with stronger security using the
broadband firewall. But doing this set my PCs in a tail
spin. Although we could still connect to the net the
utility couldn't find the other pcs on the network to
list them in the utility. This was because I had Norton
Firewall, Intrusion Detection, and Privacy already setup
on my PCs. After hours of trying to figure out what was
wrong with Microsoft on the line it wasn't until I hung
up with them and just played around until I got it to
work by turning of the Norton options reconfiguring the
firewall and then turning all the options back on. I
hope this helps someone out there.
