skype/kazaa/others all can send a data stream from one client to
another even if both are behind firewalls and are using NAT. How do
you do this? If I want to send a data stream to somebody and we are
both behind firewalls how do we make a connection to each other (even
using HTTP)?
How is this accomplished?
Any insights would be great!!
Eric

You could bounce the data off the server.
Other than that, there is no way to "magically" reach a computer behind a
firewall. One side has to be reachable, probably by forwarding a port on
the firewall to the internal computer.

Anyone who claims otherwise would be well advised to take their
medication.

Ask the people running the firewalls to open them for you. If this is
someone like your school or employer and you are trying to sneak data
through, look at their policy and the jobless rate.

Bouncing through a server probably will be possible, but it's clearly
not undetectable...

so how exactly do you bounce the data through a server?! What do you
mean by that? Is it possible to do that real time?
Thanks,
Eric
