Firewall stopping OE6 functioning

Turning off Symantec Client firewall cures.
MSIMN.exe is listed as permitted as are Ports 25+110.
When firewall active I get this message:

for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of

It's doing you a favour. Install thunderbird instead.
