Hello,

I'm just curious if anyone knows of a list that shows all the standard ports
used by clients such as bittorrent. I'm not running any of these programs
on the server but I figured this group would know the answer.

In the past we only restricted incoming ports but I'm not sure of the best
way to prevent any P2P programs from getting in or out.

Thanks

Hi,

The problem with P2P programs is that they mostly run on TCP port 80.

To close access to P2P applications on the internet you will need to either
setup proxy and/or application layer filter that will not allow access to
P2P programs.

One example of application layer filter and proxy would be Microsoft ISA
firewall.
