firewall issues

Does anyone know why you cant use Norton internet
security 2004 with a wirelss 802.11g network???I can use
the wirless network fine when its not installed but the
moment I install it I cant ping each computer nor can I
see the others.However booting in safe mode with
networking works fine.So once I eliminate Norton
everything works great.Its just now I dont have security
such as virus protection or a firewall other then the one
that microsoft includes with the gateway router for
wireless.Does anyone know of a software package that does
in fact work and will not cause these conflicts.

You would need to consult the support information for Norton, since it needs
to be programmed to allow LAN traffic. If you don't do that, within that
specific program, it'll block things (as you're seeing).

I use ZoneAlarm 4.0 with my system. Have MN-700 and MN-
710 connectors. Works just fine.
