Hi all.
I'm firewalling my homenetwork with ipcop 1.3
I've installed vlc 0.8.1 on a pc to watch a streaming signal (italian tv)
from this address:
udp://@239.113.1.76:11111
But nothing appens!
I made the same thing for a friend of mine who hasn't a firewall at all, and
everything works fine!
I suspect the problem is a better setup for my firewall, but I don't know
what I have to do!
Maybe something about udp service and 11111 port!
Help!

No,

My pc with vlc (that I want to use to watch italian channels) is behind my
ipcop firewall, and the streaming server udp://@239.113.1.76:11111 is in
internet

Ok.
now is all very clear!
You trying to view streaming video of fastweb italian provider right?
Now:
if you are inside the network fastweb you can receive the multicast
traffic and in ipcop firewall you must open the port 11111 udp and
authorize the multicast address 239.113.1.76 (try to sniff if pass or not);
if you are outside the fastweb network you don't can because the
multicast traffic don't go in internet.

bye
