Finding out multiple ethernet-addresses

We have a number of Windows XP and Debian 5.0 virtual machines in
our LAN. Due to a mishap, many of them have the same ethernet-address.
The reason is that the question asked by VMware the first time,
"Have you moved it or copied it?", was given the wrong answer.

Let's say during a period of 10 Min. many of these machines request
IP-addresses through DHCP. Is there an elegant way of recording
the ether-addresses, so that I can check for multiples?

I have my Linux machine docked into the LAN.

If your DHCP server is on a Linux box, you can check your system log—all the
DHCP requests and responses will appear there.
