You'll want to uncheck the box that says something like Enable 802.1x
authentication. This link has a screenshot of the Authentication tab.

That should make the message go away, but you'll need to double-check your
other settings for the network (WEP or WPA key, etc.).
On the Association tab, you'll probably need to uncheck the "key provided
automatically" box. This article shows where it's at:
