Filtered Payphone Socket?

Hi,

Wondering if someone could help me. We have a payphone on our broadband
line, and the regular socket is just a blank faceplate with socket inside.
This stops anyone plugging a regular phone into it. However it is not
filtered, anyone know if its possible, and where I can get a filtered one?
Or a filterd one with long cable on it to hide in the payphone somewhere?

Thanks

Neil

My connection is on a "payphone line" too. If I phone a caller display phone
.."payphone" is displayed even though we don't now have a payphone. :-)
Ours is just a normal looking socket, that was hidden behind the payphone
when it was fixed to the wall.

Because its in a theatre, and we have outsourced our box office, we now have
an ADSL linkup to the central ticketing agent in the tourist centre, so we
are abandoing the box office line and using one number for enquires,
payphone and ADSL.

sorry, I misunderstood.

You can get a filtered socket
http://www.clarity.it/acatalog/adsl_linejacks.html for example the
ADSL/LJ2F that would replace another 65mm square standard socket.

Or you could hardwire the one I posted in before the existing stuff,
or wire the payphone into it and put a flying lead on it into the
existing setup (ie insert it into the payphone lead).

or use either of these on the end of a bit of long cable.

More description may help, for examlpe does the exisitng thing look
like http://www.clarity.it/telecoms/adsl_faceplate.htm#part3 at the
back.

http://www.telephonesuk.co.uk/line_jacks.htm may help you identify
what you have.

What we have, is (I think) a master socket, however, its only a small one.
Not NTE5 size. It basically looks from the outside to be a blank faceplate,
however inside it is a few bits of electrical stuff, with a socket to plug a
BT Phone plug into - the payphone. Its basically a faceless socket.

Now, can I get one exactly the same, but that is filtered?

can you point it out on the above site, otherwise you're asking us to
find sometihng that matches something we can't see. Some dimensions
perhaps ?

A decent ADSL filter is the size of a matchbox, would that fit into
this thing you have ?

Doubt it as it is a modified 2/1a.
