Hi all -

Just set up a home LAN (wireless/Linksys) and I'm wondering how to
setup filtering? I have heard of software than can be installed on
an individual machine, then configured to block "undesireable"
web sites from view. Can such a thing be done at the central
Linsys router? We have a wireless router hooked into a DSL
modem. One maching plugged into the route via a cable, the
other machines in the house have wireless PC cards.

Thanks in advance!

I dont't think Linksys can do that. An easier way is to block port 80 on
your router and use a proxyserver on your lan.

Linksys does have routers that do WEB Filtering. It most likely is not on
the wireless models. You can configure the computer from not being able to
access certain Websites by using a HOST file on the Windows O/S or by some
third party software.
