Running windows xp home on both computers. I am able to share the printer.
Funny thing is that from my desktop computer (dsl modem wireless hook to this
computer) I can see the network I created and I can get files from my laptop.
But from my Laptop I can see the network "" but when I tried to open the
files from my desktop I gives me an error message that I do not have
permission."" Both computers have the same tcp ip settings. I turned off
all firewalls. any Idea must be something so small that I am overlooking.

Hi
File sharing is a general capacity of the Network and does matter whether
the computers are wire or wireless. Assuming that all your computer can
connect to the Router.
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed
to be shared.

after many more hrs still nothing. I can see the network. (nbtstat -n) on
both computers and see almost the same thing. Desktop runs ok and has the
printer attached to it and the dsl modem wireless. My wireless laptop is
attached to the same network ( called it MY NETWORK ) . From my desktop i
can go and get files from the laptop. From my laptop I can print to the
desktop printer (networked) . But from my laptop I can see the network but
when I click on it I get
\\Office is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the admisnistrator of this server to find ou if
you have access permission. Access is denied.
I even changed my password on both computer to be the same. Hope you have
a solution.
