I have one computer on a peer to peer network that has
some trouble with file sharing. The computer is running
Windows ME with MS Office 2000. It can see all other
computers on the network and can share most files.
However it cannot save MS Office files across the
network. When trying to save it takes a really long time
and then gives a variety of errors sometimes it says the
disk is to full sometimes its something else. I have
tried finding a solution in knowledge base and at
practicallynetworked.com but nothing has been able to
help.

Let me just give some background info on the network.
Theres 9 computers sharing a cable connection. 5
computers use 98se, 3 use ME, and 1 uses XP prof. One
computer surrently hosts all of our MS Office files. The
computers use office 97 to office xp. The only protocol
used is TC/IP. I've also verified that all the computers
have the same settings and bindings. I also tried using
a a second protocol but this cause problems for the XP
machine. Beyond that I'm not sure what else to do. I've
already tried using the restore disk on this conputer and
started from scratch. At this point I'm pretty much
clueless.

We've had other problems in the past with this computer.
I dont know if the fact that its made by IBM has anything
to do with it. Its a 1161-11U Think Pad.

Thanks in advance for any help that you provide,

-Tim
