File Sharing for Macintosh

I just finished installing a new Windows 2003 server onto
my network. I have joined the server to our current windows
2000 domain and added the File server role. It is not a
domain controller. I also installed the File sharing
services for macintosh. I then used xcopy to copy several
shares to the new server. I can connect to the shares with
a macintosh client if I use SMB but if I try to connect
through afp I get an error that says the name or password
is bad. I have to connect through afp because we have
several older applications that only work with afp. Any
ideas why I would be receiving this message. The clients
are all OSX but the run some applications on legacy mode. I
get the message in both modes. Thanks in advance for any help.
