File Replication

I have two sites that are connected by a VPN with a cable connection on one
side and dual T1's on the other. I have folders at our main office that I'm
going to need to replicate to the branch office each night. I wanted to see
if anyone has had a similar situation and had a recommendation as to what to
use to do this, either DFS with 2003 SP1 or robocopy, or something like it.
Once I do the initial replication there shouldn't be more than 100-150MB each
night. Any insight is appreciated.

I don't think DFS/FRS is suited for anything beyond NT's own
housekeeping, although I admit not having looked at Server 2003 R2 which
claims some improvements in that area.

We've used RoboCopy successfully for a long time in that scenario, until
we needed real-time permanent bi-directional replication and have now
used Legato RepliStor for the last 2.5 years. NSI Double-Take is another
prominent such program; there are more and they are expensive.

For something not expensive have a look at:-
