File/Printer sharing over IPSec VPN

Hello,
I am trying to setup an IPSec VPN between two offices using two Cisco 857
routers. So far, the VPN has worked flawlessly, with both offices being able
to transmit and receive data with no issues, with the exception of a very few
protocols. Firstly and most bizarrely, is the issue with File/Printer
sharing. Office A can access any shares on Office B computers/servers using
either their IP address (i.e. \\192.168.0.5) or their computer names (i.e.
\\Server05). However, the same is NOT true in the other direction. Office B
computers can access Office A servers/computers ONLY using their IP address.
The computers are able to resolve the names to the correct IP addresses, but
if you type the computer name directly in the explorer address bar, you are
met with failure.

Also, the RDP protocol does not appear to work correctly in either
direction. Whenever I sniff network traffic to try to diagnose the problem, I
do see a lot of TCP checksum errors, but no more than normal.

If anyone has any ideas as to why the IPSec tunnel on these Cisco 857
routers is either 1) dropping or 2) corrupting only certain protocols, I
would very much appreciate enlightenment. I do not believe it is a problem
with any server configurations, as this setup has worked perfectly in the
past when using a different VPN setup.

Sounds like master browser issue. Use browstat to troubleshoot it.
