File copy over nfs question

Hello,

I have a couple processes that copy files to an NFS share on a
scheduled basis. As part of the job I have to mount the NFS share. I
was wondering if there is a way to copy the files to an NFS share
without mounting it first.

Is this possible?

If the NFS server supports some other protocol (eg SMB or FTP), you could
use that. Or if some other client mounts the volume in question, and it
is available by some means, you can get to it that way. Really contrived
ways include email.

Logic is a systematic method of coming to
the wrong conclusion with confidence.

If you are looking at automatic mounting and umounting then "amd"
might be an answer.

The secure copy - scp - part of the ssh distribution also comes to mind.

The processes could exec a shell command or perl script.
