File and printer sharing between 98 and XP

I'm trying to figure out how to file share with 98. I
think I've set it up on my XP laptop, but I can't see my
98 desktop. I've enabled file and print sharing but am at
a loss of what else to do. I have them both connected to
a router and can suft the web, but no luck with file
sharing.

I am reading these emails intently. As you may have read
in my earlier post I was full hardy enough to
install "netsetup.exe" from XP a file that XP says to add
to the other computers. it messed up my network that at
least worked for the internet. I am still trying to
straighten this problem out.

Run XP's Network Setup Wizard on both computers. It will make all of
the necessary settings. Since you have a router, tell the Wizard that
the computers connect to the Internet through a "residential gateway".

Un-install all firewall programs while troubleshooting the network.
