File and Print sharing problems

First, let me explain that I am not very network savvy, but with trial &
error and help from others, I can usually get things up and going.

So, up until approximately a month ago I had a flawless wireless network. I
was able to internet, file and printer share between all computers (3 laptops
& 1 Desktop) on my home network (via workgroup computers), and none were
cabled to the router (all wireless). The only problem with the wireless base
station I was using (Microsoft MN-700) was that the range was not what I
needed it to be. I upgraded (or so I thought) my router with a Rangemax Next
generation wireless router (Netgear WNR834B), and was able to get all
computers an internet connection, but I cannot for the life of me get the
computers to share files and the printer that is connected to the desktop.

As I mentioned earlier, I had an operational home network prior to changing
routers, but it took me a lot of research to get it that way. I finally got
it up and going by a quite lengthy article I found online. I have since lost
the article and can't find it again online. The article explained in
detailed steps how to tweak each computers settings so that each computer
could share with the other.

If you can help, please do or if you have an idea I what article I am
talking about please lead me in the right direction.

You really aren't providing enough info, about just what kind of error
messages you are getting. My "guess" is it has to do with your firewall, but
you don't say what kind of firewall you are using. Again a guess on my part
is the IP address range has change most likely in the AAA.BBB.CCC.xxx CCC
part, and this has made your firewall believe you have joined a new network.
The firewall is now blocking your file and print sharing. Perhaps the
following pages will help;

My New Wireless does not work - http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.html
Wireless, Basic Configuration - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.html
Wireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html

There is also an excellent network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna.
Take the time to go through it and it will usually pinpoint the problem
area(s) - http://winhlp.com/wxnet.htm
