Hi folks

I'm relatively new to Linux and want to do the switch over from th
coporate OS. I recently purchased a Compaq Presario V2575 laptop tha
has a 54g 802.11b/g wireless card, and did a Workstation install o
Fedora Core 4

I was able to get almost everything working on the system right of
th
initial install, but I'm stumped on how to get the wireless working
Obviously this is really inhibiting my switchover

Might anyone have any tips or a walk-through handy that would help m
out in enabling this card on my computer

Thanks in advance

ryt

Depends on what stumped means?
1) You may not have the module for the wifi chipset.
This can be identified by doing dmesg and finding out if your
Wifi Chipset got recongnized correctly.

2) You may not have profiles set up properly.
In this case you will need to go into
/etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/ and set it up correctly.

I know that is vague I think that will let you narrow down your
problem. Good Luck!
