Fedora Core 3 & Vlan Configuration

I'd like to start a VLAN on boot and have it shut down properly when
powered off. I have created a ifcfg-eth1.2 file in
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts which seemed to work (at least in the
boot up creation) but, seeing as how it is not a standard ifcfg, failed
on shutdown and locked up the PC.

Any help would be great. I'm guessing I'd need to modify the
/etc/init.d/network file and i think i saw some items in ifup / ifdown.

Thanks!

Solved it ><

made a new init script that runs the VLAN vconfig to add the items once
they are done.

seems as if VLANs as a whole have been an issue as of late
