HI,

Last year, we signed up for BT Total Broadband and it worked just fin
unill Saturday night. Since then, I can only get the interne
conection, the land line is dead and the hub phone is also dead. If
dissconect the cable from the hub to the filter, I get dialtone on th
land line. I have spent a lot of time on the phone to BT only to spea
with someone in Bombay who asks the same questions all the time.

Anyone got any ideas ?

1: Check the filter. have you a spare you can try, or maybe borrow one you
know works from a friend. Maybe take yours to a friends and try it. COuld
be the filter is damaged.

2: Have you got, or can you borrow, a basic modem (Speedtouch 330 or
similar)?
If yes, remove the hub temporarily and try connecting up using the modem.
See if you get dial tone when all plugged in. If yes, I suspect the Hub may
have developed a fault. You could try a hard reset, back to the factory
settings (regret don't know the specifics for this as I do not have a hub).

Try the above and report back if neither works.

Already done that Jack, all's working fine.

Diconnected land line, hub and hub phone from computer and plugged i
all into the socket where the line comes into the house.........stil
getting the same problem! Phoned BT for the eleventh time and the
finaly addmited there may be a fault outside or in th
exchange.......which I told them in the begining. At least they are no
doing something about it.
