Fatal Exception when printing

Hello,
I have a Win98 pc sending its print jobs over to a Win2K
pc. The printer in a new HP5550. Every time a job is sent
I get the blue screen which reads; A FATAL EXCEPTION HAS
OCCURRED AT 0028:C02EDA42 IN VXD VREDIR(06)00006B3A

The jobs print out as soon as you hit any key but I would
really like to resolve whatever is causing the blue screen
to pop up. I've searched this knowledge database and was
unable to find a resolution, If anyone has any suggestions
please let me know.
