Fast switching after i installed a wireless adapter

I just installeda wireless adapter to my computer with windows XP. I go to
the logon and logoff options and slect the box that has "Use the Welcome
screen" but when i restart, it shows the Fast User switching screen also. How
do I get rid of that initial screen.
