Help anyone?

I have a p2p network at home using crossed RJ45 cable.
The system was working fine until a thunder storm last night.
Now I cannot map any drives across the network.
I have tried different crossed cables and rerun through the network protocols.
The connection is established at 100 Mbs and all TCP/IP protocols are correct.
Is it possible to damage a LAN interface in such a way that both machines can
connect to each other, but are unable to pass any information between them?
Or is there something glaringly obvious that I am missing?

Matt

More than likely you have a wrong setting. Did you enable ICF or some other
kind of firewall and can you ping the computers?
