Anyone know suppliers who will do external grade CAT5 cable by the
meter - can only see 305m boxes which is way too much for the job.

TIA

Just use stranded cable from Maplin: -

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...=13230&doy=9m8

59p/m

Q) Would this cable be suitable for outside use (Running up the side of a
house)? - Sam Bennett
A) This is not designed for that purpose. However, it will work fine
outdoors though the outer sleeve could theoretically deteriate after
prolonged exposure.

or ring up a local cabling company and offer to buy some.

You could always run it inside a length of hose pipe, that'll stop the
UV damamging the outer sheath..

U.V resistant plastic conduit would provide a much neater solution.
