Looking for a new WPA-ready PC Card wireless NIC for 802.11g, a card with
an external antenna(s) or which supports them. A 'pre-N' card would be
preferred, as would a card which uses less CPU than others.

It's for use in a Fujitsu subnotebook, the Lifebook P1032, runing XP Spack
2. Its primary use will be away from hotspots in remote areas, for
disaster relief work, and will be attached to a coffee-can waveguide or
Yagi antenna for extra range. The existing Linksys WPC54G works OK, but
has no external antenna jack, so I will move that card to another notebook
which will stay close to home.

Your on-topic assistance is appreciated.

Thank you kindly.

Interesting question re a pre-N card with external antenna connector --
doesn't pre-N MIMO work on the principle of having multiple internal radios
? So wouldn't such a card need, say, three external connectors? (not
likely to happen in a PC Card format!)

I've got a similar need, and while I haven't tried it yet, I just found
a Buffalo WLI-CB-G54A card that sort of fits:

There's room if they use the same size connector as my Sierra Wireless GPRS
card uses.
