I am having a home network build on Netgear ME102 AP and 4 MA101 USB
Adapters, I do have some problems with the distance, and was evaluation
whether a secund ME102 would help as bridge to a secund network for the PC
far away from the first AP. Any experiance out there for a constalation like
that?

Tanks

Ole

Get a Dlink DWL900+ or Linksys WAP11 and run them as repeaters.

Best solution is to add a second AP, wired to the first and permit
roaming.

A brute-force method would be to get a 500mw or 1W amp (eBay), another
would be to run a length of special lossy line through the areas where
coverage is desired. To get wide coverage I use a sectoral antenna
array that provides a 90 degree horizontal pattern together with an
extremely narrow vertical pattern (18 dB gain). Even without the amp
this antenna can establish reliable connections with omnis nearly a
mile away (but I'm on a hilltop :-) I've also tried a 42 element
dual-yagi that works really well for extending range, it has a 16 dBi
gain, is very compact and costs about $50.
