Extension Cables for Access Point

I have a Linksys wireless router. I have it setting on the top of the cpu in
the computer desk right now. I would like to take off the antennas and
attach them to the area around the leg space on the desk. Right now the
cabinet housing the cpu has no door. But we are having one made. I don't
really want the access point on top of the desk. It is cluttered enough as
it is. So I'm thinking I can get a couple of cables and attach them to the
router and attach the other ends to the antennas and mount the antennas on
the panel next to the leg space. Can I pick these cables up at any radio
shack? Or are they a special type for a wireless point? I've also seen these
new antennas for linksys access points that doubles the gain to 5.5 dBi.
Anyone try these yet?

Thanks,
Greg
