My set up is as follows
DSL Modem
Belkin Wireless Router
3 Dell Laptops

The DSL Modem and the router are located in the basement of my house.

What is the best way to extend the range of the Belkin Wireless Router
so that I can get access at the top of the house?

Apologies if this has been covered already but I can't seem to get a
straight answer to what should be a simple problem.

Run an Ethernet cable to the top of the house and add another access point.
