Hi,

I got a pair of 18dBi aerials from eBay, now I need to know what to connect
to the house end of the link...

At the broadband connection end, I have a Netgear 834G connected to one of
the aerials. At the house, I have the other directional aerial (about 100M
away), and I want to re-broadcast the signal in the house.

What would people recommend for the house end? preferably with one or more
100baseT ports...

Thanks

A DLink DWL-900AP will do the trick....

Or, indeed, a pair at both ends in bridging mode. This will, however,
just be the link between the two houses and give you an ethernet port at
each end. Therefore another AP will be needed at each end in order to
provide wireless access to clients in that particular building.

I have two DWL-900AP+ connecting me to my router downstairs, which also
happens to have wireless, which means that I can connect downstairs by
ethernet (wireless PCI card pfffft no way) and the laptop someone else
uses can also so their thing.

The bridge has been faultless in the 3 weeks it's been up. The WAPs also
do a funky BZZZZZZZZZZTtttttttttttt BZZZZZZZTTtttt LED KITT-like effect.
It was probably just me being dumb, but I couldn't connect my Zywall to
the Vigor to give me a VPN over the wireless bridge

No complaints about the 900AP from me. I was surprised to read that it
had been discontinued by D-Link.
