Also reported here:-

I'm on the extended reach trial, despite trying to prompt my ISP
(Pipex) to enquire if my connection has been OK these last couple of
months, I've not been asked a single question by them, or BT, or anyone
else, on how it's gone. For the record, fine.

Maybe they've been monitoring me via remote diagnostics ?

Only two outages I'm aware of, both seemed to be 'wider issues'
rather than anything to do with my specific connection. Download/Upload
actual speeds according to ADSL guide speed test, are typically 473/244 kb/s.

Very pleased, only the voice quality of my line (poor to start with) has taken a
bit more of a dive.

Plusnet sent their ER trial people a questionaire to fill in. It wasn't very
technical though. didn't even ask what you attenuation was if you knew it!

Better filters could help the voice quality.

The only measurement that BT would be interested in would have been
collected by the APTS test software used when the line was originally
tested (& reported back to them by VPN at the end of the test,
apparently)...

Tried that, (ADSL Nation XF-1) helped a bit, but still naf.

People the other end can hear me fine, but they are very quiet
for me. (That was the case before ADSL was enabled)

Question for Mr Kraftee, or any other BT lurking bods, if I ring
151 and request the line gain to be turned up (ISTR BT CS refer
to a scale from 1 to 5 ?), it that still possible with all the DSL gubbins
in place at the exchange ?

What do you mean by rollout? My dictionary defines it as straighten or
spread with a roller.

The reason I ask is that I have been turned down for the extended
reach trial because I have ISDN (Home Highway). When I complained to
my ISP they said that they had only been told this by BT when they
forwarded my request.

Consequently, I want the trial to conclude succesfully asap so that I
can reaply for ADSL.

Ah, sorry you hadn't said it was quiet before ADSL was enabled.

Yes this will do the trick, and it will still work with ADSL enabled. Ask
them what its on at the moment before changing it though, they will tell you
in my experience.

Just tried it, they (151) said it cannot be done because I'm ADSL enabled.
Started going on about sending and engineer out to check my equipment...
etc..etc. I backed out of all that quickly !
