Extend wireless coverage with additional routers

I have a large building that one wireless router just will not cover.
I'd like to add two more routers as repeaters. My question concerns a
user that roams through the building with his laptop turned on. He'll
stop at several points to do some work before moving on to other
points. If all the routers are set to use the same SSID and WPA key,
will the laptop automatically connect to the strongest signal? When he
moves so that another router is stronger, will it automatically switch
to use the stronger router?

Thank you
Brian

Hi
It would switch Auto if the signal is very poor. It is hard to set a system
that would switch immediately with any little difference in signal.
A Repeater cuts the "Speed" into half, which would made it even more
sluggish to switch.
In sum, try one time a configuration with the same SSID, and one time with
unique SSID to each system and see what works better.

Thank you Jack. I'll do some experimenting (when we get around to
getting a second wireless router).
