What are the options to extend the range? From reading,
you can get a range extender, but microsoft does not have
one and I can't find anything compatable - can I get a
second MN-700 and use it to extend the range? If yes, can
anyone supply details?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi,

Yes you can use a second MN-700 to extend the wireless range.

Connect to your second MN-700's Base Station Management Tool, and go into
the Security section, then to the Base Station Mode.
Choose the Access Point mode, and also choose a name for the base station.

Now hit apply, and then the base station will reset and reconfigure itself.
To go back into the Base Station Management Tool, you'll have to type in the
base station name, so it'll be http://name
where name is the name of the base station.
Then you'll be able to configure the wireless settings and any other
wireless security settings you may have.

Connecting the cables, you'll have to connect a cable from your main MN-700
to your second MN-700.
On the first MN-700 connect a cable from one of the four ports, to the
second MN-700's MODEM port.

With the MN700 you would have to connect the second one via Ethernet and use
it in base station mode. Also, you would need to have it on a different
channel, use the same wep/wpa key. There have been a few threads on this,
look back about a month or two to find all the details.
