Have a Linksys WAP-11 access point. Set it up about 2 years ago, all boxes
except one were W98SE and wouldn't find DHCP assigned addresses so manually
assigned static ones. Have built a couple new boxes with WXP and the DHCP
works fine, but if I fire up one of the old boxes to test software, run a
report, etc, we have address conflicts. I seem to remember setting up
addresses xxx.xxx.xxx.101 thru 108.

Never ever figuring I'd need more, but I've lost the setup disk, and
instruction sheet. I reckon I could snoop linksys' website, but was hoping
some kind sould could save the the time and let me know a quick easy way to
expand my addresses thru maybe 125 or so.
Thanks
Mark

WAP11 doesn't act as a DHCP server. You must have a router or a PC
serving this function.

You're right!! DOH

Looked at it, it is a BEFW11S4 wireless broadband router.

Now that you know what the hardware is hope you can help.
Thanks for correcting me.

Just limit the range of addresses the DHCP server doles out to exclude
the range of those assigned in the past. I forget whcih page in your setup
on the AP/Router that is, but you can give the router an address range to
work with.

Given that you have a wireless router - point your browser to
http://192.168.1.1 to maintain it.

Go to the DHCP tab and set DHCP to be from 192.168.1.50 to 192.168.1.99 and
reboot the DHCP pc's... that way you will not have any IP conflicts with
PC's using 192.168.1.100 and above....or you could try to get that WIN98
system to use DHCP .
