Exchange Upgrade - Checking Progress

Our exchange is due to be upgraded for adsl on 26th November. Is there any
way to check the progress BT are making? I've already signed up with an ISP
and am unsure of when I can look forward to broadband.

You`ve answered your own question, the exchange is ready for use of ADSL on
26th November, roughly 4-5 days after that you will probably be connected..

Yes get back onto your ISP they should have given you an activation date. If
your ISP isnt BT you have no reason to deal with them as your contract is
with your chosen ISP.

Maybe you are but I know how it feels when you haven`t been able to access
broadband and then it`s not so far away :0)

Good Luck with your order. Who are you going with BTW?

The ISP that I have registered with simply tell me that they will get in
touch when an activation date is announced - maybe I'm being a little too
impatient.

It was a close decision between Freedom2Surf and Pipex. But as Freedom2Surf
supply a static ip address (what I need for my webcam at home) I chose them.

You`ve studied well ;0) In regards to Pipex, the IP is virtually Static, my
mate has had it change twice over the past 18 months..
