I recently upgraded my set of web servers from Redhat Enterprise Linux
2.1 to 3.0.

Ever since then, I have been noting a large amount of 'estabresets' on
my SNMP graphs. Can anyone fill me in on what this means?

When I perform a 'netstat -s', I see a growing number of 'resets
recieved'. I'm assuming that this numbers is the same thing?

Does this mean that I'm trying to connect outbound to a service and
recieving resets because a service is not available?

Thanks all,

Michael

"estabresets"

The number of times TCP connections have made a direct transition
to CLOSED state from ESTABLISHED state or CLOSE-WAIT state.

It's about TCP connection termination, you could try a google
search for some docu about it.
