We have a 2000 Server Standard that occasionally loses its shares.
I have possible tracked it down to the Event listed below:
I have followed the steps in KB 245080 (with the exception of the 1 gig file
creation)
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=245080
using the maximum values allow and then using the minimum values allowed
since the maximums did not work.
Most recently the issue has not happened in well over a month until
yesterday late. KB 245080 leads to this being a possible PST file problem.
Each time it happens I do an export of the open files (this is after the
crash and before the reboot, terminal services is still accessible).
However, most often there is a PST file open when this happens, there is not
a single instance where the same user's PST file is open each time.
Any troubleshooting advice from the experts?
Thanks.
