Running Windows Server 2003 32 bit standard edition. Receive an Event ID:
5719 in the System Event log during boot; message text indicates that a
domain controller can't be found and this may cause authentication problems.
This then seems to cause problems with some of the application services that
need to start up. Interestingly, you can ping other stations and see other
servers on the network so the network must, at some point, be coming up
correctly. Hardware is Dell PowerEdge 2650 with BroadCom NetXtreme GE NICs.
Found an article on Technet about problmes with GE cards, suggestion was to
turn off the Media Sensing feature of Windows or upgrade the driver to the
latest version - I've done both of those things but have the same problem.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks.
